Best of Wine Tourism Award der Great Wine Capitals

Great Wine Capitals: A World of Excellence

Our IBB Hotel Ingelheim was awarded with the Best of Wine Tourism Award 2019 in the accommodation category in 2018

Mainz and Rheinhessen have been members of the exclusive network of the Great Wine Capitals since 2008, which also includes the cities of Adelaide, Bordeaux, Mendoza, Lausanne, Porto, Verona, San Francisco, Mendoza and Valparaíso with their wine regions. All of these cities have a very special character that has a significant impact on their economic and cultural life: their internationally renowned and renowned wine-growing regions.

In the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate and its region of Rheinhessen with its many dedicated winegrowers, many businesses - from wineries to gastronomy to the hotel industry - convince with innovative concepts. Whether a trip with a vintage bus through the vineyards to a color wine tasting, a round of yoga paired with wine or menus or hotel rooms that are perfectly matched to the theme of the wine. In Mainz and Rheinhessen you can experience it all!

Outstanding offers are presented each year in all GWC member cities in competition with the Best of Wine Tourism Awards in seven categories. Mainz and Rheinhessen now have more than 70 winners.
